The Chicago Bears got a head start in their search for a new head coach for the 2025 season. After a disastrous loss to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, the franchise decided to cut ties with head coach Matt Eberflus, making this the first time that they ever fired a coach midway through the season.
There's a widespread expectation that the next Bears head coach will have an offensive background to help the development of quarterback Caleb Williams. However, that's not a 100% certainty inside the organization.
According to Sports Illustrated insider Albert Breer, there's one interesting name who could emerge as the next leader in Chicago. Brian Flores, who currently works as the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, could get a look for the job:
