Barcelona have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Liverpool star Darwin Nunez as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish legend is now on the wrong side of 30s and the club have reportedly been searching the market for a decent replacement.
After eight successful seasons at Bayern Munich (2014-2022), Robert Lewandowski moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2022 for a reported €45 million. The Pole has recorded 84 goals and 19 assists in 120 outings for the Catalans across competitions. He has also won a LaLiga title and one Supercopa de Espana with them.
However, with Robert Lewandowski turning 37 this year, Barcelona are keen on signing a replacement for the legendary striker. According to the Catalan outlet El Nacional, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has come up as one of their options. The 25-year-old has lost his prominence at Anfield after the arrival of head coach Arne Slot, starting only 12 of the total 24 games played across competitions, registering just seven goal contributions.
