Blackburn Rovers and Burnley lock horns in round 26 of the EFL Championship on Saturday
The action continues in round 26 of the EFL Championship as Blackburn Rovers and Burnley lock horns at Ewood Park on Saturday. Both sides failed to win their respective opening games of 2025 and will head into the weekend looking to taste victory for the first time this year.
Danny Batth came up clutch for Blackburn as he netted a 90th-minute equalizer to hand them a 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road on New Year’s Day.
With that result, the Rovers have failed to taste victory in four consecutive games, losing twice and claiming two draws, having won the six matches preceding this run.
This slump in form has seen Blackburn Rovers drop out of the playoff places as they now sit seventh in the table, level on 39 points with sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion.
