Chicago Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno shared his thoughts after ending the team's five-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Friday at United Center. Foligno scored two goals, while Arvid Soderblom made 38 saves as the Blackhawks bounced back from a 6-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues in the Winter Classic.
Tyler Bertuzzi and Patrick Maroon also scored for Chicago. Bertuzzi scored on a 5-on-3 power play in the first period, while Maroon gave Chicago a 3-1 lead early in the third period. The Canadiens scored once in the third, but Nick Foligno’s second goal sealed the win for Chicago.
Foligno sent an encouraging message to fans following the win:
“We’re gonna start playing Blackhawk hockey the way you expect it.”
