Brady Singer shares excitement on joining forces with Elly De La Cruz after Bobby Witt Jr. experience (Image Source: Getty)
Right-handed pitcher Brady Singer was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for second baseman Jonathan India and outfielder Joey Wiemer. The deal took place in November but Tuesday marked the first time the pitcher talked publicly about the move to the Reds.
While it wasn't easy for Singer to part ways with the Royals since he has spent all his five years in the majors with the club so far, a new place comes with new opportunities. He expressed excitement about sharing the field with Reds sensation Elly De La Cruz, who was MLB's stolen base leader last season.
The experience won't be so much different, after all, he comes from the kingdom of Bobby Witt Jr., who possesses similar traits – if not better – than De La Cruz.
