D'Angelo Russell and the Brooklyn Nets squared off against the Toronto Raptors in a regular season matchup at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Wednesday. Russell made his season debut for the Nets after recently joining the franchise following a trade from the Lakers.
The dynamic point guard put on an impressive performance, but his individual brilliance couldn’t lift the Nets to victory, as they fell 130-113 on the road.
Russell concluded the game with 22 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-6 from beyond the arc. He also contributed two rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two blocks, while going a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line. The veteran guard logged 26 minutes and posted a plus/minus of +2.
