Real Madrid square off against Deportiva Minera in the Copa del Rey
Deportivo Minera will meet Real Madrid at Estadio Cartagonova in the Copa del Rey round of 32 on Monday. The fourth-tier side booked their place in this round with a 4-2 win on penalties over Deportivo Alaves last month. Madrid are one of the four teams to enter directly in this round.
Minera are winless in their last three games and suffered a 1-0 home loss to Juventud Torremolinos in their previous outing. They failed to score for the second time in three games and will look to improve upon that record.
Los Blancos are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, recording five wins. They met Valencia in their first La Liga game of the year on Friday and registered a 2-1 away win. Hugo Duro gave Valencia the lead in the 27th minute and late drama ensued as Luka Modrić equalized in the 85th minute and Jude Bellingham scored the match-winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
