Since his first season in the MLB in 2016, Alex Bregman had become a staple in the Houston Astros infield. Now in his first major free agency, Bregman is expected to not return to Houston, as the team is already looking for sound alternatives.

On the Mayor's Office, host Sean Casey sounded confident that the Houston Astros won't pursue Alex Bregman's sweepstakes anymore. He said that the Astros' Kyle Tucker trade to the Chicago Cubs and reports suggesting their interest in Nolan Arenado showcase that they are looking for short term backups to fill Bregman's shoes.

"It sounds like Houston’s moving on, with how they’re moving Tucker. I think they’re trying to move Presley, it sounds like they tried to get Arenado. There’s just things they’re doing, you’re like, they’re trying to retool right now, probably. And it doesn’t sound like Bregman’s in their plans," Casey said. [12:40]
