Edmonton Oilers left winger Evander Kane underwent surgery this offseason where he had procedures to repair two hernias, two torn hip adductors and two torn abdominal muscles. The injuries were sustained throughout the Oilers' deep playoff run in 2024 where they lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to the Florida Panthers 4-3.
Kane has yet to appear in a game during the 2024-25 season while recovering from his injuries. There has been no timeline for his return, though Bob Stauffer, radio color commentator for the Oilers and host of "Oilers Now", provided an update on Kane's status earlier this week.
"Per Bob Stauffer, it sounds like the earliest we see Evander Kane back with the Oilers is March," said Oilers Daily on X.
