Mohamed Salah is not Liverpool's best player right now, as per Troy Deeney.

Ex-Watford star Troy Deeney has asserted that Liverpool and Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is a better player than Reds superstar Mohamed Salah.

Earlier on Sunday (January 5), Mac Allister played a vital role in the Reds' 2-2 Premier League home stalemate against Manchester United. The 26-year-old completed 41 of his 49 passes, contributed an assist, registered three shots, and won one of his two tackles and seven of his 16 duels during the clash.

In his 'Team of the Week' column for BBC, Deeney showered praise on Mac Allister and hinted the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner is better than Salah. He wrote:
