In the 2022 offseason, then Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill requested a trade from the team, as he was demanding to be paid more money. This came as a surprise to many as he and Patrick Mahomes were widely-viewed as the best QB-WR duo in the NFL.
Hill got his wish granted. On March 23, 2022, Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick, two fourth-round picks and a 2023 sixth-round pick.
He then signed a four-year, $120 million deal with $72.2 million guaranteed, becoming the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history at the time.
After spending three seasons with the Dolphins, Hill has made it apparent he wants out of Miami. He said so in his last interview of the season following their season finale and changing his profile picture to Antonio Brown when he stormed off the field.
