Cristiano Ronaldo, Wojciech Szczesny and Lionel Messi
Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny once chose Lionel Messi ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the GOAT debate. The Polish goalkeeper briefly retired last summer after terminating his contract with Juventus.
Following Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's knee injury, the Calatans convince Szczesny to come out of retirement to join them in October. The 34-year-old made his first appearance for the LaLiga giants in the 4-0 Copa del Rey win over Barbastro on Saturday.
Interestingly, Szczesny shared the pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo 101 times at Turin, winning 65 games and losing 19. They spent three seasons together with Juventus, winning the league twice.
However, speaking to the press in October last year as cited by One Football, the Pole hailed Lionel Messi as the number one.
