Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson's contribution to the Seattle Seahawks will never be forgotten by the fans who watched it. When the two were rising to the top of the NFL, it appeared that the NFL was going to live under Wilson and Carroll.

Of course, that never fully came to pass, but the duo was still one of the most successful of the 2010s. However, most have now attributed the success to Pete Carroll.

Speaking on a January 8 edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Chris Simms threw a wrench into that argument, turning it on its head while talking about his candidacy to join the Chicago Bears.
