Hansi Flick has asked Barcelona to offload Frenkie de Jong, according to Fichajes.net. The German manager was particularly unimpressed by the player's contribution in the 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the Supercopa de Espana semifinal on Wednesday, January 8.

De Jong started the game from the bench and replaced Gavi in the 73rd minute. Flick introduced him in the game to add a spark of energy to the team, but the Dutchman turned out to be a disappointment.

The 27-year-old made a defensive mistake that led to an Athletic Bilbao goal, which, thankfully, was ruled out for offside. De Jong did show promise while going forward, but it wasn't enough to convince the German manager.
