Travis Green on Senators' loss to Oilers (Source: Imagn)
Coach Travis Green said that Linus Ullmark’s early exit didn’t play a major role in the Senators' 3-1 loss to the Oilers.
Even with the defeat, the Senators are in a good spot, sitting in the second wild-card position in the Eastern Conference. They have been playing well, especially with Ullmark’s strong performances. In his last nine games, Ullmark has gone 8-0-1, with a 1.48 goals-against average and a .952 save percentage. His injury could affect the team, but Green hopes that it’s not serious.
After Ullmark left with a back injury before the second period, Green noted that the Senators didn’t give up many shots afterward (2:09).
