Jimmy Butler reacts to Heat-Rockets brawl, and how things would have transpired if he were playing (Image credit: Imagn)
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has been sidelined for the past five games with an illness. Because of that, Butler missed out on Sunday's scuffle between the Heat and the Houston Rockets, which started with an incident between Tyler Herro and Amen Thompson. After Thompson threw Herro to the ground, players and coaches swarmed the scene, attempting to help officials break things up.
Additionally, police officers went to the court to help restore peace. All in all, a total of six people were ejected from the game. On top of Thompson, Jalen Green, Terry Rozier, and Herro all getting ejected, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and assistant coach Ben Sullivan were both tossed as well.
The way Butler sees things, if he had been on the court during the scuffle, things would have been different. While speaking with Brady Hawk of Five Reasons Sports Network, Butler said that regardless of whether or not he was playing. If he had been at Sunday's game, he would have gotten involved in the scuffle.
