Cincinnati Reds infielder Gavin Lux is prepared to emulate World Series MVP Freddie Freeman this upcoming season.
In an appearance on MLB Network on Wednesday, Lux discussed his feelings and expectations for this upcoming season as a member of the Reds. In particular, host Harold Reynolds asked Lux if his experience with the LA Dodgers, specifically the time spent with stars like Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts, could influence Lux’s approach.
“I played with Mookie and Freddie for three, four years," Lux said (Timestamp: 4:22). "I think I took a lot from all those guys, but I think, Freddie’s first year was 2022, I was probably annoying him them, watching him, and literally sitting down watching his cage routine, go out and watch his BP routine, his defense routine.”
