Former NFL defensive end J.J. Watt has recently shown his support for Pete Carroll getting back into coaching in the NFL.
Carroll was an NFL coach for the New York Jets and the New England Patriots in 1994 and in 1997-1999. He went on to coach college football for the USC Trojans from 2001-2009 before returning to the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. Carroll and the Seahawks agreed that he would step down as coach following the 2023-24 season but remained with the team as an advisor.
Even after Carroll stepped down as coach, he stated that he could "coach tomorrow," saying that he's still in the best shape of his life in a Seattle radio interview.
