Jonathan Kuminga sustained an ankle injury on Saturday when the Golden State Warriors took on the Memphis Grizzlies. After 15 minutes of play, Kuminga went back to the locker room after spraining his right ankle. According to sources, the Warriors forward will be re-evaluated in three weeks, which means that's how long he'll be out of action.
Despite Kuminga making an early exit, the Warriors notched a 121-113 victory over the Grizzlies. The timing of Kuminga's injury is disheartening, especially now that Golden State is somehow back on track in the Western Conference's standings. The Warriors are in eighth place with an 18-16 record after their victory on Saturday.
Jonathan Kuminga opened up about his injury in a locker room interview with the media. He lowkey expressed his frustration on not being able to play, especially now that his team has been on a roll as of late.
