Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has summed up his feelings after watching his erstwhile team's 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield. The 36-year-old, who currently plays in Australia, also had a message for the Red Devils' captain Bruno Fernandes.
United were widely expected to lose to the Reds, who had the home advantage and have been in brilliant form throughout the season. It did not help that the Red Devils were also coming into the game with a shocking run of four losses in a row, across all competitions.
The match, which took place yesterday (January 5), saw Manchester United open the scoring in the second half, through Lisandro Martinez (52'). Liverpool turned things around quickly and efficiently, as Cody Gakpo equalized (59') and Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot to put them in the lead (70').
