The New York Rangers' season is turning into a disaster. After a 12-5-1 start, the team has gone 4-13-0 in its last 17 games. Trading away former captain Jacob Trouba and 2019 second overall pick Kaapo Kakko, as well as scratching Chris Kreider, has not helped.
It has been widely speculated around the NHL that Rangers general manager Chris Drury wants to continue to shake up the roster. Performances like Saturday's 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay will only expedite the process of Drury making more big changes.
New York Post's Larry Brooks wrote a column on Sunday, sharing his opinion on the state of the Rangers. Brooks said that the team has quit on its coach, Peter Laviolette, and he believes that it will cost him his job soon.
