Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube shared his thoughts on Mitch Marner’s natural hat trick. After the team’s 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, Berube talked to the media and talked about Marner's role in the game.
Berube talked postgame about Marner scoring goals when needed.
“We need him to come up big and score goals, right? He does it. He had five shots on net tonight. That is the difference for me: He is shooting the puck,” said Berube. “He has a good shot and can score goals. He is a great playmaker, but there are times when we need him to shoot, too.”
