Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah opens up on The Best FIFA decision after being asked ‘Why did you vote for Vinicius Jr as the best player in the world?’

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah said he voted Vinicius Junior the 2024 Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year because the Brazilian deserved to win the award. Vinicius was in strong contention for the award with Rodri, Jude Bellingham, and Lionel Messi.

During a recent interview, Salah was asked why he voted for Vinicius. He replied (via Madrid Xtra on X):

"Vinicius Jr is a very good player, that’s why. He’s improving every year and hopefully he can continue. I voted for him because he deserves it."
