Matt Fitzpatrick was one of the eight players in action on Day 1 of the TGL. Before changing into the New York GC's team jersey, he was spotted donning the jersey of his favorite English soccer team.
Fitzpatrick is a nine-time winner on the DP World Tour and the 2022 U.S. Open champion. He is part of the New York Golf Club in the TGL, alongside Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, and Cameron Young. Outside of golf, Fitzpatrick is a devoted fan of Sheffield United and has consistently expressed his love for the English soccer club.
On Tuesday, January 7, TGL shared a video of Matt Fitzpatrick entering the SoFi Center while proudly sporting a Sheffield United jersey.
