Red Bull driver Max Verstappen gave a brutal reply to McLaren CEO Zak Brown after the latter criticized him for his racing tactics during the 2024 season. The Dutch driver was able to win his fourth successive world championship in the recently concluded season after he was challenged by McLaren driver Lando Norris.
In his defense for the title, Verstappen and Norris fought hard on track with some controversial moments occurring during the races in Austin and Mexico.
The Dutchman got the most flak for his driving in the Mexican GP where he raced too aggressively and pushed Norris out of the track in his defense. Whilst commenting on the Red Bull driver's driving, McLaren CEO told ViaPlay:
“He’s such an awesome racing driver that I just don’t think he needs to drive like that. Just drive like the World Champion you are. It was unnecessary, puts everybody at risk and it’s not clean racing."
