Melbourne Victory and Western United face off in Australian A-League on Friday
Melbourne Victory and Western United get the next round of Australian A-League underway when they lock horns at AAMI Park on Friday. Arthur Diles’ men head into the weekend looking to extend their three-game unbeaten run against the visitors and secure their first win since the turn of the year in the process.
Melbourne Victory were denied their first win of 2025 as they could only salvage a 2-2 draw against Western Sydney Wanderers last Saturday. Diles’ side have now gone four back-to-back matches without a win, claiming three draws and losing once since a 2-0 victory over Perth Glory on December 8.
Melbourne Victory have picked up 19 points from their 11 A-League games so far to sit fourth in the standings, one point and two places above Friday’s visitors.
