Veteran infielder Miguel Rojas turned back the clock in 2024 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, helping the club win its eighth World Series. The 35-year-old shortstop put together one of his best seasons in recent years, posting a .283 batting average with six home runs, 36 RBIs and eight stolen bases. His .748 OPS was his highest since the 2020 season.
Even though Rojas provided pivotal depth for the Dodgers in 2024, there have been rumors that the club could look to move on from him this offseason. MLB insider Sonja Chen suggested that the team could explore moving on from some of their veterans after already trading Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds.
