The Boston Red Sox traded for White Sox ace Garrett Crochet and signed World Series winning pitcher Walker Buehler to a one-year $21.05 million contract. Both players are expected to strengthen the pitching staff for the 2025 season.
Speaking on "The Baseball Insiders" podcast, Robert Murray said that Red Sox fans should be happy with the additions the team made this offseason. He also praised general manager Craig Breslow for his efforts in bringing in Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler.
He added that in the past, the organization often abandoned efforts to pursue major names after an initial attempt. However, despite a limited budget, Breslow and his team have managed to do a commendable job.
