Nathaniel Lowe, who played the last four seasons with the Texas Rangers, was among several players changing teams this offseason. In December, Lowe was traded to the Washington Nationals in exchange for Robert Garcia.
Apart from Lowe, there were other first baseman moves in the offseason as well. On MLB Network, Lowe shared his thoughts on Paul Goldschmidt's one-year, $12.5 million deal with the New York Yankees.
He also discussed Josh Naylor's trade from Cleveland Guardians to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for right-handed pitcher Slade Cecconi and 2025 Competitive Balance Round B pick.
"That was wild," Lowe said. "Honestly, when I saw Paul Goldschmidt sign in New York, I thought, okay, maybe I’m not going to get moved because I didn’t want to. But I started checking Twitter a little bit. I had actually told my wife, ‘You know, now that they’re buttoned up there and Naylor moves from Cleveland to Arizona, maybe we won’t get moved.’
