The New York Jets are desperate to right the ship after another turbulent season. However, a hefty price tag has thrown a wrench into the team’s head coaching search.
After revitalizing Washington Commanders' offense and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, Kliff Kingsbury’s stock has surged. Under his guidance, the Commanders boast a top-five offense, a playoff berth and a legitimate Rookie of the Year contender in Daniels, who has 31 touchdowns and a completion rate nearing 70%.
However, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler believes Kingsbury might not make a beeline for the Jets.
Kingsbury's $5.5 million annual payday from his Arizona Cardinals tenure still looms large, making him one of the highest-paid free agents. Thus, given his current situation, he can wait for the perfect opportunity.
