NY Rangers coach Peter Laviolette explained why he sent K’Andre Miller back on the ice after a costly turnover. Miller’s mistake led to the game-tying goal by Thomas Harley at 17:21 of the third period. Harley intercepted Miller’s pass and scored from the right circle, tying the game at 4-4.
After the game, Laviolette addressed his decision:
“There’s things that go wrong on every goal — and so there was definitely things that we could have done better inside of that goal as well. There’s a couple of breakdowns on that particular instance.”
