Rangers coach Laviolette frustrated after 5-3 loss to Panthers (Source: Imagn)
The Florida Panthers beat the New York Rangers 5-3 at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday. After the game, Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette acknowledged that his team’s efforts fell short of securing the win.
He said that while his players did some things right, they also made mistakes that cost them the game. Laviolette stated (per Rangers reporter Mollie Walker):
“We did enough to win the game, we did enough to lose the game,” he said. “It is frustrating because you feel like you’re doing more good than you are bad out there. At the end of the day, it’s not showing on the scoreboard. That’s the business, it’s winning. It’s not good enough.”
