Red Bull Racing's Sergio Perez is set to have a new role in the team moving forward. The Mexican, who will not be part of the driver lineup for the next season will continue to be a part of the Austrian team during show runs, which are public displays of earlier models of Red Bull's cars. These events have previously occured in cities like Dallas, Mumbai, and Lima.
Perez's exit as a Red Bull Racing driver was confirmed earlier this week. He will be making way for 22-year-old driver Liam Lawson, who will be taking his spot. Speaking about his future with talkSPORT was team boss Christian Horner, who said (via PlanetF1):
"He’s still going to be involved with the team. He will be doing a couple of show runs with us during next year."
