De'Aaron Fox's agent, Rich Paul, reportedly said that the point guard has no intentions of re-signing with the Sacramento Kings. Fox is playing in the fourth year of his five-year contract worth $163 million. The 2024-25 season reportedly could be Fox's last with the Kings. The star guard seems to be interested in requesting a trade.
With a salary expectation of $37 million next season, teams are more likely to afford to trade for the Kings star easily. After hearing the news from Paul, many teams such as the OKC Thunder, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors have expressed interest in cutting a deal with Sacramento.
While the Kings have undoubtedly improved in recent memory since Fox and Domantas Sabonis took over, they never had a successful playoff run. It's only natural for the star guard to look for a better situation, especially now that Sacramento (14-19) has struggled this season.
