American professional golfer Rickie Fowler is one of the several big names who is set to play in Tiger Woods' The Golf League. This new league, which has taken the world of golf by storm, is set to make its debut in January next year at the newly built SoFi Center.
On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the official handle of SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio uploaded a video of Rickie Fowler in which he was seen discussing how he will adapt to the 40-second shot clock in Tiger Woods' TGL. Based on what Fowler said, it seems he has quite a savvy strategy.
Rickie Fowler said:
"You can take care of a lot of your pre-shot before it's your turn... You know, when the other team's hitting, your shot's up on the screen, and you can move stuff around and basically know exactly what you are going to do. When you have 40 seconds, that's basically when you're gonna be stepping up or putting a ball down. And I don't see any issues on my side. I know there is going to be issues that guys will come across, especially guys that maybe won't spend as much time with practice or prep because it's a pretty fast-moving thing. So, we'll see. There is going to be some timeouts used, that's for sure, but the timeouts are limited, so we'll see how that works out for everyone." [0:11 onwards]
