Rutgers basketball has not had much to cheer about over the last three decades, but the arrival of freshman Dylan Harper, son of Ron Harper, has brought a level of excitement and optimism.
On Monday, the highly rated guard had another stellar outing against Colombia, leading the Scarlet Knights to their eighth win of the season. It turned out to be a historic night for Dylan Harper, who finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists to become the first Rutgers players in 41 years to record a triple-double.
Following the monumental feat, the 18-year-old rising star was praised by his older brother, Ron Harper Jr., with a heartfelt post on social media.
