Kevin Kisner was named as a US Ryder Cup vice-captain for the 2025 competition set to tee off on September 26 at New York’s Bethpage Black. The four-time PGA Tour winner joins the likes of Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker in the role. The appointment of Kisner, a regular on NBC Golf’s announcer team, was confirmed by US Ryder Cup skipper Keegan Bradley.
The new team captain lauded Kisner while introducing him to the new role. Speaking about the new appointment, Bradley said that the former “cultivated relationships with everybody” making him a team player. The skipper dubbed his new vice-captain a “guy's guy” and said he kept the spirit in the dressing room high. He further lauded Kisner’s patriotism and said that the latter “bleeds red, white and blue.”
He added that the ‘nervous’ nature of the Ryder Cup called for players like Kisner, who elevated other players’ ‘personalities.’
