Scottie Scheffler is set to join Tiger Woods in an exclusive club as he will finish 2024 with an average of 15.6 OWGR points. This will make him only the second golfer after Woods to finish the year with more than 14-15 average points.
Scheffler had an incredible season on the PGA Tour, winning seven official titles and defending the Hero World Challenge. Besides, he claimed the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Throughout the year, he remained World No. 1 and is now set to finish the year with over 15 average OWGR points.
On Saturday, December 21, Nosferatu, a popular account on X, shared an important stat.
"Scottie Scheffler will finish 2024 with 15.6 average #OWGR points," Nosferatu wrote. "It's the first time in modern OWGR era (since the 2-year rolling system was introduced) when a world No.1 other than Tiger Woods finishes a year with more than 14-15 average points!"
