Standard Liege will host KV Kortrijk at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium on Friday in the 21st round of the 2024-25 Jupiler Pro League campaign. The hosts will be keen to return to winning ways and make a push for the championship round qualification in the second half of the season.
Standard’s goalless draw against Mechelen just before the winter break marked their fourth draw in their last five league matches, a run of form that has seen them fall to tenth-place in the Belgian top flight. Victory at the weekend will only be the hosts’ seventh win in 21 league matches so far and could see Ivan Leko’s team rise up as high as seventh place.
Kortrijk started the season quite brightly but have picked up points only twice in their last eight league matches, with their most recent 1-0 loss to Charleroi being the side's 12th loss in the league this season. The visitors are currently sat in second-to-the-last place in the league table and will need to turn their season around in coming weeks to potentially push out of the relegation playoffs zone.
