Stuttgart and Ajax clash at the Robert-Schlienz-Stadion for a club friendly on Sunday. Both sides are looking to blow away the cobwebs in the fixture before resuming their 2024-25 campaigns in the following week.
It has been a difficult year for the German home side domestically, as they sit in 10th position in the Bundesliga table with only 23 points from 15 games and just six wins in the bag.
Die Roten's last fixture before heading into the winter break resulted in a 1-0 defeat to St. Pauli on home turf, which ended their four-game unbeaten run in the competition.
As their league season reconvenes on 15 January against RB Leipzig at home, Sebastian Hoeness' side will enter the friendly game on Sunday looking to prepare for the return of their domestic schedule.
