Taylor Pendrith made history early in the final round of The Sentry 2025 by scoring an albatross. He holed out from 203 yards on the par-5 5th at Kapalua and recorded the first albatross in the tournament’s 27-year history. Following this, the Canadian golfer revealed that it was his eighth albatross of his career.
Pendrith finished the round at 22 under after a final-round 67. Addressing his unique accomplishment, the 33-year-old dubbed it ‘weird’ that he now has more albatross than hole-in-ones (3) in his career. He admitted to ‘just trying to hit a hard 6-iron’ when the shot went in and made ‘bonus’ history. He said the shot was ‘pretty cool’ as it was also the first one of the new PGA Tour season.
