Teoscar Hernandez signed a three-year, $66 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, extending his stay with the team where he earned his first World Series ring. The outfielder's importance to the team was recognized by manager Dave Roberts.
Sports Net LA's Kirsten Watson caught up with Roberts, who made his feelings known about the club re-signing Teoscar, commending his consistency and managing to do well during big spots.
"The main thing is, I think for a manager, the what you look for is someone, you know what you're going to get. And I think with Teo, you know what you're going to get, and that's just the consistency. His highs were really good and very consistent, and the lows were very small, and he just kind of finds a way not to dig himself too big of holes and fight through it. And he shows up, he posts, he plays every day, essentially. And he has a knack for getting big hits," Roberts said.
