After a 2021 email controversy between Jon Gruden and the Las Vegas Raiders, the coach has largely been off the radar, especially when it comes to head coaching gigs. However, that might change soon for the Super Bowl XXXVII winning coach.
Taking to Twitter/X, NFL reporter A.J. Perez claimed, via an unnamed source, that Gruden was shaping up to be a "hot" coaching candidate. Responding to the report on Twitter/X, NFL analyst Bomani Jones had a scathing response:
"[I'll] believe it when I see it. Remember: he didn’t lose his job for what he said about black people. it was for calling the commissioner a f****t. Why would Roger let that slide now? And isn’t he suing the league? And that clown hasn’t won a playoff game in 22 years."
