The 11-5 Washington Commanders took a trip to Arlington to take on the beat-up Dallas Cowboys in their regular season finale. The Commanders already booked a spot in the playoffs so this game was all about ending the regular season on a high.
The Cowboys decided to take a look at Trey Lance with the former No. 3 overall pick in a contract year and while Lance showed some glimpses of his potential, there was little action from both teams in the first half.
Dallas’s defense was on it from the get-go as Micah Parsons racked up a sack on the first play. Parsons followed that up with another sack on 3rd-and-3 to shut down Washington’s first drive.
