Steve Williams was one of Tiger Woods' most trusted caddies. Williams and Woods teamed up between 1999 and 2011, the golfer's longest such collaboration, and when their time together began, Williams had been in the game for more than 20 years.
Still, it fell to Steve Williams to star in one of the funniest anecdotes involving a caddie on the PGA Tour. The New Zealand caddie's mistake was so rookie-like that Tiger Woods himself could only laugh, despite the seriousness of the moment.
It happened on the 7th hole of the Palmer Course at The K Club, where the 2006 Ryder Cup was played. Steve Williams was cleaning Tiger Woods' 9-iron when he slipped awkwardly next to a water hazard and the club fell into the water.
