Watford and Sheffield United face off in round 26 of the EFL Championship on Saturday
Watford and Sheffield United are in action in round 26 of the EFL Championship when they lock horns at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Having both suffered a drop-off in recent weeks, both sides will head into the weekend looking to find their feet and secure their first win of the year.
Watford were denied a dream start to 2025 as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Queens Park Rangers at the Loftus Road Stadium on New Year’s Day. The Hornets have lost all but one of their last four matches, with a 2-1 home victory over bottom-dwellers Portsmouth on Boxing Day being the exception.
Watford have picked up 37 points from their 24 Championship matches to sit eighth in the table but could move level with fifth-placed Middlesbrough with a win this weekend.
