Aston Martin team boss, Mike Krack recently summarized the subpar stint his team had in the 2024 F1 season. The Silverstone-based team was unable to get out of the midfield and challenge other top teams.

Ever since early 2023, Aston Martin has been experiencing a gradual decline in performance. They started the 2023 season with a bang, allowing Fernando Alonso to finish on podiums and challenging the likes of Max Verstappen in qualifying sessions. As the season progressed, they lost their charm and tumbled down the pecking order.

In 2024, the tables did not turn as the British team continued to struggle. In several races, neither Alonso nor Lance Stroll could score points. The team was unable to close the gap to top teams like Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull.
