Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim wasn't happy with the Red Devils for their 2-2 Premier League draw at Liverpool on Sunday (January 5) despite opening the scoring.
After a goalless first half, Lisandro Martinez opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 52nd minute. The hosts , though, reacted brilliantly, with Cody Gakpo equalising inside seven minutes before Mohamed Salah's 70th-minute penalty gave them the lead.
Manchester United didn't relent in attack, and it paid off, as they found the equaliser through Amad Diallo in the 80th minute. Despite clear chances, neither side could find a winner.
The Red Devils were widely expected to lose against leaders Liverpool, after picking up four consecutive losses across competitions. A draw is a better result than expected, but Amorim believes his players could have done much better, telling Sky Sports (via Tribuna):
