The Golden State Warriors face an uphill battle to sustain their regained momentum after Jonathan Kuminga went down with an injury on Saturday. Golden State won the contest 121-113 against the Memphis Grizzlies, its first consecutive win since Nov. 22.
However, Kuminga's injury blow has raised concerns about the team's ability to get through the next few games. He was one of their best performers over the past 10 games, averaging 20.8 points and 6.6 rebounds on 47.0% shooting, including 37.1% from 3.
On Saturday, Kuminga had 13 points in just 15 minutes on 66.7% shooting. However, he rolled his right ankle just before halftime and never returned.
Steve Kerr provided a concerning injury update, saying the $7,636,307 wing's injury setback could be significant, and he might miss a lot of time. Kuminga is due for an MRI.
