Scottie Scheffler will start his 2025 PGA Tour season at The American Express. The 27-year-old recently had an unfortunate accident on Christmas, as he injured his palm from broken glass while preparing for dinner and had to undergo surgery to remove the pieces.
The world No. 1 has withdrawn from the season-opening The Sentry tournament and will need at least three to four weeks of rest before he can make a comeback.
Scottie Scheffler will return to play at The American Express. His manager, Blake Smith, released a statement speaking of his injury and also about his next tournament. Smith said:
"On Christmas Day while preparing dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass. Small glass fragments remained in the palm which required surgery. He has been told that he should be back to 100 percent in three to four weeks. Unfortunately, he will have to withdraw from The Sentry. His next scheduled tournament is The American Express,"
